A legend has died.

God what a horrible shock....and so sad. Michael Jackson was the legend of my generation, he was my Elvis and I will always remember my childhood spent watching thriller and listening to Bad. The 26th of June will always be a sad day!

The Moffatts you say!

Ok dont laugh but recently on a website I post on I have seen The Moffatts mentioned a few times and at one point I was quite a fan of a song they released here in 1997/8 if i remember correctly.
Anyway out of sight out of mind and when they didn't make it big here I totally forgot all about them.
Until recently that is.
After seeing them mentioned on a forum, I went and checked out the thread. Someone posted a youtube vid so I went and had a gander and ended up watching about 30 vids of their more recent things (When i say recent I mean 2000ish) Anyway I was shocked at the change and went and checked out what they have been doing since they went their separate ways and I was seriously impressed with Scott Moffatts myspace; www.myspace.com/scottmoffattmusic
His raw music had me listening for about 2 hours and left me wondering how a guy who was musically based in the country side of the industry could write and sing something so inspiring and totally not country.
Yes you may all disagree with me but damn I was moved!

Starting Piano Lessons next friday!

I taught myself how to play the piano between the ages of 12-14 and played until I was 16. But after I left school and got my qulifications in Music, I didn't have access to a piano nor space for one and stopped playing. Last year I brought myself a Keyboard and was shocked to realise I had forgotten pretty much everything I knew. I couldn't even read music anymore.
So today I have booked myself in for Piano lessons! Woo hoo.
Hopefully once I get into the swing of it Ill remember things a little more clearly!

WEIGHT WATCHERS DIET

Well its that time of year....time to start a real diet rather than the faddy ones which don't work.
I find it really hard to lose weight as i live on near to nothing food wise and I'm a really active person. However my metabolism is really slow and I have been told I need to eat a lot more than what I do to lose weight. The problem is I really hate the feeling of being full plus I hateeee having to eat. Dont ask me why, I just hate the whole eating process.
So I have been assured if I follow the weight watches diet, as long as I eat all my points I will be able to lose weight. Plus I can continue having smoothies or slimfast during the day (I hate eating anything before 3pm)!

By June I want to have lost at least 14lbs min and I have 16 weeks to do it so I am aiming at losing 1lb a week!

So Week one I have already Lost 1lb, only 13lbs to go!

Im also going to go back to they gym next week now that Im feeling better from the ulcer.

Changing Horses!

I loveee my new Ben Kweller Album. The album is made up of a collection of songs that Ben has written over the years and its soo good!
You can also buy it on vinyl and that also comes with the cd...somehow i missed this when i ordered my cd so slighty sad about that!

Yay Ben Kweller

A few months ago if you had told me I was going to be a Ben Kweller fan i would have laughed at you. When I had heard his music, I had never thought i would be a fan but that dude is amazing live!
Yesterday i asked my friend if he would come and see Ben with me next time he was here and today ordered his new album and low and behold I see UK tour dates for in May when my American friend is over!
Im so excited hence me blogging twice in one day! yay!

TRBX

Soooo a week ago when my friend asked if i was going to book on next years Rock Boat I told her a firm NO! Not a chance in hell....I had only just finished paying for last years and I couldn't even go on it! She promised to insure me and I still said no.

So tell me how a few days later I was pressuring her into booking now and quickly. Ill tell you why. Once i Realised Hanson wouldn't be on it which would hopefully rule out the crazies from the seriously cool Fans I know, I started considering it. Then when i saw how many of the girls I adore were going on it I was even more tempted and then when someone told me it would sell out quickly I was sold!
TRBX here I come, sun, sea and sand (gross i have such a fear of sand its unreal) Music and booze!

Roll on 2010!

Off to buy salad for my extreme diet plans!

"Stupid Things Americans Say to Brits"

Click ----->>>>>>> LETTERMAN

Seriously Im lucky enough to have good teeth but if i didnt then everything said in that top 10 list would have been said to me!

I live in England......I am English....I speak English!

A british accent does not exsist!

Its lucky I loveeee my American friends....and America...oh and everything in it!

To all my American friends!

So I'm sat here eating a box of Goldfish and i say to you......please god send me some! I have to order these in as for some stupid reason unknown to me....THE UK DOESN'T HAVE THEM!
Nor do we have the cute and yummy mini powdered donuts i freaking love!
SO when i order these treats in, it costs me a redict amount of money!

So American friends and lovers, let me paypal you the costs of the items and shipping and please spare a few mins one day to send me these wonderful treats. I beg this of you!

Goodbyes

I always feel like I'm having to say goodbye to someone and that this comes at the wrong time in my life.
This morning my Mum and Stepdad (who is like a father to me) left for Bulgaria. Its a permanent move. Very upsetting. Ever since my parents broke up when i was 12 i have always been without one parent. My mum moved to Worcester when i was 15 so i lost her and now I'm losing her again after only having her back a year.
I'm mostly upset for my daughter as she adores my Mum and stepdad (who is her male role model) plus I'm scared that its going to be semi impossible to cope with Uni and life now that my main support system has gone but i understand why they have left.
I guess things like this teaches you that you only have yourself to rely on.

CHOCOLATES??

OK so remind me to make sure future bands I like wont start selling shit like that! Can you say Sell outs much. Wrapping paper was bad enough but Chocolate...priced at $25 (for 12 chocolates) not including the insane postage ($25 to the UK, $11 within the US)
When you believe a band is in it for the music and then you suddenly realise it may just be a money thing, you start to re evaluate things!

Idiot UK doctors!

So I went to my doctors today and was told they have had me on the wrong medication for the last 3 months! Idiots......but it explains why my ulcer hasn't been getting better! If they had, had me on the right meds then I would be jetting off to Miami next week! However I refuse to get to annoyed about that, I cant change it. Just yay to me getting better soon I hope!

Copying a friend (whos like the only one who reads this anyway haha) Top Ten Albums of 2008!

So Brianna you inspired me haha and its a slow day so i thought i would copy you! However I cant really be bothered to link up photos and do a full review so I'm going to do a crappy 1,2,3,4,etc list haha!

10) Tom McCormack, Anxieties and Accomplishments. This album will defo be on my 2009 list. I only received it a few days before xmas so I'm going to count it as more of a 2009 album. The only way i can describe this album is GORGEOUS. Tom's voice is silky smooth. Perfect to listen to if you are in a pondering mood, after a night out or even for a night in.

9) Kings of Leon, Only By the night. This is new to my collection so I'm sure it will make its way to my top 5 soon.

8)Trevor Jackson. Highly amusing. The harmonies are stunning.

7) The Kooks, Konk. I actually cant believe this is rating so far away from the number one spot for me but i have heard some great albums this year!

6)Kate Voegele, Don't Look Away. I first spotted this girl on One tree hill and adored her voice. I have since seen her live and met her a few times and shes a darling girl. This album is fun, fresh and uncomplicated!

5)SK&6ers, Glassjaw boxer. It took me a while to love this album as it didn't have the same energy as the band when they are live. When i first listened to it I was SO disappointed but I gave it time and now i adore it for its own reasons.

4)(I'm cheating here as it wasn't released in 2008 and the band are no longer together buttt) The Push Kings, Feel no fade. This album is defo one of the most influential albums on me this year...before 2008 I hadn't heard it and if it wasn't for EBE I wouldn't have heard but I adore it! You cant help but smile and sing along!

3)Phantom planet, Raise the dead! This is such an amazing album, the first four tracks just have you completely hooked, if you didn't like the band before, still listen and i bet your a fan afterwards. Sadly the band have broken up...Gutted but I'm hoping they will reconsider!

2)EveryBody Else Self titled album! I love, love, love this album. Its just so bloody good.

1) Everybody Else 1/2 Acoustic Album! Other ebe fans may think this choice is strange but its how I originally heard the band and i love how simple yet effective it is!

Most wtf recipe book

CLICKY
Ahhhh haaa so now we know what to do with all that unwanted semen.....stick it in your dinner!
the book only costs £14.47...61 pages of recipes to cook your family and friends!
Im pretty sure my daughter would hate me if she later found out when she was older i fed her 'cum' cumber sandwiches instead of the normal cucumber ones! Plus where would a single woman like me get semen??....would i ask my male friend or just a guy at a bar??? "excuse me sir, can i ask for a donation of semen..and no i dont want to impregnate myself....id like to make a cum cake....only can i ask if you have eaten any garlic in the last few days because sour sperm wont do for my recipe"
I think this book is pretty much relationshipist......directed at couples and single men!
I should find somewhere to complain!

Description:

Semen is not only nutritious, but it also has a wonderful texture and amazing cooking properties. Like fine wine and cheeses, the taste of semen is complex and dynamic. Semen is inexpensive to produce and is commonly available in many, if not most, homes and restaurants. Despite all of these positive qualities, semen remains neglected as a food. This book hopes to change that. Once you overcome any initial hesitation, you will be surprised to learn how wonderful semen is in the kitchen. Semen is an exciting ingredient that can give every dish you make an interesting twist. If you are a passionate cook and are not afraid to experiment with new ingredients - you will love this cook book!

I dont understand how in this day and age these awful things are still allowed to happen.
Its down to a totally lack of education and down to people using religion as a way to scare the uneducated.
